About the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC)

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is a sovereign tribal nation rooted in Scottsdale, Arizona, and shaped by the shared vision, values, and goals of the Onk Akimel O’Odham (Pima) and Xalychidom Piipaash (Maricopa) tribes.

Deeply connected to its history, culture, and land, the Community spans 52,600 acres in Maricopa County and includes significant natural space, agricultural activity, and areas of commercial development. A defining landmark of the Community is Red Mountain, which reflects the O’Odham and Piipaash peoples’ enduring connection to place and home.

Today, the Community is led by a 9-member Council and includes more than 11,000 members and 13 business enterprises. Together, its government, enterprises, and broader activity reflect a strong foundation of service, stewardship, and opportunity.
